KOCHI:
The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) today signed an MoU with Podar Eduspace Pvt Ltd, and EduCLaaS Pvt. Ltd for imparting futuristic and digital skills in India’s youth to make them future ready through special apprenticeships-based post graduate education programs.
There will be two programmes introduced under the partnership that will skill the young Indian talent pool. The duration of these programmes is 24 months where in the first six months the candidates will go through intense online training followed by 18 months of online on-the-job corporate apprenticeship leading to an International Master’s Degree from a European University. Program fees will be funded by Apprenticeship making it a Zero Cost program for Students. This collaboration envisions to fulfil the aspirations of young Indians who want to be a part of today’s progressive job market and will entail courses like Software Engineering and Cloud Computing which will specialize the students in future technologies such as python programming, database management and cloud management, administration, and security skills. Most importantly, the selected candidates will be given interview and apprenticeship opportunities with the large organisations.
The MoU was signed between Ved Mani Tiwari, COO, (Officiating CEO), NSDC, Rajiv Podar, Director, Podar Eduspace Pvt. Ltd and Leslie Loh, Founder and CEO EduCLaaS Pvt. Ltd.
These courses will provide training to the enrolled students through live sessions and self-paced asynchronous modules, delivering extensive knowledge about digital skills using a series of videos, flip cards, diagrams, and other visuals. The partnership will benefit candidates who aim to become digital business analysts, data analysts, data managers, data scientists, Cloud computing experts, Cloud management specialists. Upon completion of the 6-month training, candidates will be eligible for a paid apprenticeship of 18 months with the international and local MNCs, unicorns, hyper-growth companies, and start-ups that will unlock myriad employment opportunities for them in the global market.

This apprenticeship based post-graduation program will help students get experience of working in international organisations while pursuing an international post-graduation program. The apprenticeship aspect of the program helps students substantially finance their post-graduation and also helps them acquire industry relevant work experience.”

The two programmes will give students skill training, degree and Work Experience without being any Financial Burden. It also aligns with the NEP 2020 that emphasises on holistic learning with a blend of education and Skill development. This further fulfils Our Hon. PM’s vision of Skilling India for a brighter future.

Through this partnership, our endeavour is to deliver effective mentorship to the students under bootcamp training and prepare them for the future of work, he added.
In this apprenticeship program, the students will be assessed based on the presentation and project work, designed to measure the tangible results of new-age skill levels of the students. The students will be awarded with a degree by Rome-based renowned university named Guglielmo Marconi on finishing the programme. The training will be provided online, and the partnership will be driven through academic institutions across the nation with an aim to bridge the skill gap, build in-demand skills, augmenting employability of students.
