NIT Calicut Alumni Awards to Cusat VC and Professor

KOCHI:
The Life Time Achievement Award instituted by NIT Calicut Alumni Association (NITCAA) has been presented to CUSAT Vice Chancellor, Dr. J. Letha for her outstanding contributions to the development of technical education in the State.
It is in recognition of her 35 long years of dedicated services as an engineering teacher, researcher and an able
administrator. The award was presented to Dr. J. Letha by V.J. Kurian, Managing Director, CIAL at the NITCAA Day
function. Dr. G. Madhu, Professor, School of Engineering, Cusat has been selected for Prof. K. M. Bahauddin Award for the distinguished Engineering Teacher of Kerala- 2018.
This is in recognition of his meritorious career as an Engineer, teacher and researcher. Prof. Bahauddin Award carries a cash prize of Rs. One Lakh, citation and a memento. The award money has been returned to NITCAA for instituting a biennial award for the best PhD thesis in Engineering and Technology from Kerala. Dr. Madhu received the award from Dr. Sivaji Chakravarti, Director, NIT Calicut.
