Muthoot M George Foundation Felicitates School Toppers

Muthoot Finance Ltd, India’s largest gold loan company’s Corporate Social Responsibility wing Muthoot M George Foundation inaugurated “Muthoot M George Excellence Awards 2019 for all government schools in South India, in Kochi. The educational initiative is a part of one of the Corporate Social Responsibility activity undertaken by the company.

Hibi Eden MP inaugurated Muthoot M George Excellence award for 2019 and gave away the awards. Muthoot Group Joint Managing Director George Thomas Muthoot presided over the function, which was organized at Town Hall, Ernakulam. T. J. Vinod MLA, Muthoot Group Joint Managing Director George Jacob Muthoot, BJP Ernakulam President N. K. Mohandas, St. Augustine College Principal Biju K Simon participated in the function.

As per the project 2000 students of Government/aided schools across South Indian get Rs. 2000 each scholarship. The scholarship award was launched in the year 2010 to the toppers of govt schools in Kerala, later the project was extended to other states as well.

Speaking on this occasion, Muthoot Group Joint Managing Director George Jacob Muthoot said, “Giving scholarships to 2000 government school toppers across South India will nurture and encourage the young minds. Over the years we have been providing scholarship awards to motivate students to achieve excellence in their academics. We remain duly committed to the community with various corporate social responsibilities in the near future.”
