Kochi: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau unearthed more than 100 sovereigns of gold from the bank locker of former Kerala Minister K Babu’s younger daughter on Wednesday. The gold was stashed in a locker at the Thammanam branch of Union Bank in Kochi.
The Vigilance had, on Monday, found 117 sovereigns of gold in the bank locker of Babu’s daughter at the Vennala branch of Punjab National Bank in Kochi while conducting raids n connection with a disproportionate assets case against him.
Five bank accounts of K Babu, his wife and daughters have been frozen.
