The tenth edition of SiGNS short film documentary festival, organised by Federation of Film Societies of India in association with Kochi Biennale Foundation, witnessed a footfall of students from city’s various visual communication colleges.
Around 70 students from Amrita school of Arts and Science attended ‘SiGNS 2016’ on Friday. “

“Our concept about visual arts got a dynamic perspective after watching few films at SiGNS festival,” said a student delegate. ‘The Bookshelf’ by Sandeep Ravindranath, a three and a half long short film that portrays the intolerance towards a group of books, attracted the imaginations of students. A documentary on Vincent master gave new insight about the legendary Malayalam film maker also was an intellectual stimulant for students.
Hundreds of students came to view the screenings at SiGNS 2016 on Friday from various educational institutions including Sacred Heart school of Communication, Thevara, Cochin Media School, Science Academy and Bharath Mata College, Thrikkara. More educational institutions are expected to bring their students to the tenth edition of this five day SiGNS festival that will conclude on October 2.
