The final competition of All Kerala Maria Philip Memorial debate for college students conducted by Xavier Institute Management Studies (XIME) will take place on September 27 at their Kochi campus.
Preliminary round competitions will be held on 18 morning at Assumption College, Changanacherry, 20 th morning at 10.30 at Lourde’s Matha College of Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, at 11 am at YMCA Hall, Chinnakkada, Kollam, by noon at Farooke Institute of Management Studies, Kozhikode, 23 rd morning 10.30 at Vimala College, Thrissur, 24 th morning at 10.30 at Bharath Matha College, Thrikkakkara, Kochi. The subject for debate is ‘pay parity is still a dream for women in India’.
Under graduate students of all professional, arts and science colleges in Kerala may participate. Each team should comprise of 2 participants of which one should be a female and only one team can participate from an institution.
Winners in the preliminary rounds will get Rs.5000/-, first runner up Rs.3000/- and second runner up Rs.2000/- each as cash awards. The winners from the final round competition will get Rolling trophy and Rs.25000/- as cash award and the runner up Rs.20000/-. The best speaker in the competition will get cash award of Rs.15000/-.
