The incredible potential and wide applicability of startup-derived innovation will be on display at a live product demonstration tomorrow that will feature, among other devices, a low-cost bionic hand that can help amputees grasp and hold objects.
Showcasing prototypes in created almost entirely from in-house designs, the demo sessions – which will also provide a glimpse into virtual reality, augmented reality and mixed reality devices – at Technopark are part of ‘Disrupt Kerala 2017’ – a one-day conference on the changes and challenges affecting various technology domain
The FAYA:80 conference, organised by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) in association with NASSCOM and ICFOSS, the day-long summit features seminars, workshops and a panel discussion by a host of prominent personalities, including Kerala Electronics and IT Secretary M. Sivasankar, world-renowned innovators, influential technologists and leading entrepreneurs.
The summit will evaluate emerging trends in a dynamic IT landscape and explore new ideas for developers and organisations to succeed despite unpredictability. As well, it will examine programmes for Kerala’s IT sector to keep abreast of the ongoing and upcoming seismic shifts in the industry. Topics will include future trends in Data Management, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, User Experience, Blockchain technology, Mixed Reality and Internet of Things.
The sessions, which will also examine a host of current and coming opportunities and challenges with regards to employment and entrepreneurship prospects across tech specialties, will run concurrently across four venues in Technopark starting with a 9.30 am inauguration at Travancore Hall.
“With new tech becoming increasingly affordable to the masses thanks to the effects of technological disruption on the IT landscape, small entrepreneurs, of whom many are start-ups, who are nimble enough to adapt are set to grow and succeed. The FAYA:80 conference is timely,” KSUM CEO Dr Saji Gopinath said.
