    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Infosys Thiruvananthapuram Development Center (DC) recently organized a month-long celebration commemorating its 15 th year anniversary and journey, since inception in December, 2003.

Starting operations with one business unit at the Technopark in 2003, Thiruvananthapuram DC currently has 10 business units spread across three buildings. The center witnessed a steady growth in its workforce as well over the last 15 years. The DC with 2.7 million square feet of built up area not just houses state-of-the-art software development blocks but also focuses on employee recreation. Committed to reducing its environmental footprint, the Thiruvananthapuram DC has multiple green initiatives. The sprawling campus has green cover and rain water ponds to enhance bio diversity. The campus is also equipped with a biogas plant and a membrane bio reactor (MBR) sewage treatment plant which processes organic waste.

Internal CSR groups within Thiruvananthapuram DC like GrassRoutes, Sanjeevani and Raksha have been collaborating with employees and playing a pivotal role in improving the lives of marginalized groups in Thiruvananthapuram and addressing larger social causes like anti-drugs awareness campaign for students.

To acknowledge the contribution of the employees and the growth of the DC for 15 years, it organized this month long celebration for employees, their families and the society at large. Some of the key highlights of the celebration included blood donation camps, cleanliness drives in the Government Medical College at Trivandrum, conducting the third edition of the Samyam anti-drugs awareness campaign at the Government Higher Secondary School, Pallithura, Trivandrum among various other initiatives.
