IMS Noida, School of Journalism and Mass Communication organized an Induction program “Deeksharambh” for newly batch students of BJMC & MJMC 2021. Smriti Rastogi Sr. Anchor & Producer, Somdatt Sharma, Media Advisor of Delhi Government, and Manish Kumar Jha, Associate Editor of Foreign Affairs & Defence at BW Business World. The President of IMS Noida, Rajeev Gupta and Dr. Kulneet Suri, Senior Director of IMS Noida were also present at the event ceremony.
While addressing the new students, Senior Director, Dr. Kulneet Suri said, “New members have been added to the SJMC family, we’re stronger now. At IMS, students are groomed to face real-life challenges with at most competency. This department has always been my favorite, hope to see their creative work in the field of journalism & mass communications.”
Smriti Rastogi, Sr. Anchor & Producer, guided and motivated the students as they commenced their journey towards a successful career. She threw light on the different aspects and dimensions of journalism. Manish Kumar Jha, Associate Editor at BW Defence, discussed reporting and covering of armed forces & the Ministry of Defence. Somdatt Sharma, Media Advisor, inspired students by sharing his own story of his college days when he was pursuing journalism. He further discussed the various opportunities in the area of Journalism & Mass Communications and how students can reach there.
