Building on their power packed performances in Round 1, Honda Racing India riders are all set for the Round 2 of 2024 season of IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup at Madras International Circuit (MIC, previously known as Madras Motor Race Track) in Chennai.
After an exciting inaugural round, which showcased remarkable skill and relentless determination from the young guns on the track, the Round 2 of IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup is ready to take the competition to unprecedented levels of intensity.
Round 1 of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R category was a great spectacle, with Chennai’s Shyam Shundar emerging as the undisputed leader. Drawing on his previous racing experience, Shyam showcased his best skills on the track, executing strategic manoeuvres and
overtaking Mohsin P and Rakshith S Dave with precision and skill. Starting from a challenging position, he strategically climbed the ranks to maintain his lead and secure the first position in the final race.
Mohsin P, the 22-year-old from Mallapuram, and Rakshith S Dave, the 16-year-old from Chennai, also delivered spectacular performances. Mohsin demonstrated exceptional speed and strategic expertise to clinch the second position after a gripping battle with Rakshith, who showed remarkable resilience and racing prowess despite a challenging start, securing a podium finish in third place.
Giving them stiff competition in Round 2 will be A S James (22 yrs) from Bengaluru, Prakash Kamat (20 yrs) from Bengaluru and Beedani Rajender (19 yrs) from Hyderabad. Joining them will be six new riders, Savion Sabu (16 yrs) from Bengaluru, Rakshitha S Dave (6 yrs), Jagathishree Kumaresan (19 yrs) from Chennai, Aaron Soni Fernandez (15 yrs) from Thiruvananthapuram, Steve Waugh Sugi (19 yrs) from Trichy and Vignesh Pothu (17 yrs) from Hyderabad.
Round 2 of the IDEMITSU Honda India Talent Cup NSF250R will have the grid of 11 young guns riding on the Moto3 race machine platform – NSF250R. Additionally, Rakshith S Dave (16 yrs) from Chennai is preparing for the upcoming round of Thailand Talent Cup.
