Heritage Motor Show at Kochi

KOCHI:
On behalf of the Cochin Vintage Club (CVC ), it is our privilege to solicit your esteemed presence for — a one-of- a-kind Heritage Motor show being conducted in Kochi for the third time at the Rajendra Maidan on the 9th and 10th of September 2017.
Ernakulam range IG P Vijayan will inaugurate the function on 8 th evening 5.30 pm. CVC is an exclusive club of like-minded vintage automobile enthusiasts in Kerala. Since its inception, CVC has conducted auto shows & vintage car rallies and has also associated with various government organizations for events such as road safety week, antidrug campaign and so on. This Vintage show is being organized to create awareness about the necessity to preserve the heritage of the country and to educate the young generation about the evolution of the automobile industry.
Despite the fact that Kochi is a central hub for the automobile industry, there is a lack of awareness regarding the same. Our state has an enviable array of vintage vehicles which can attract tourists from all over the world and such shows help to promote these attractions. During the show, the spectators will get a glimpse of very rare vintage cars of yesteryears and will bring nostalgia to vintage car connoisseurs.
50 classic vintage cars (Fiat Tippo 1919,Chevrolet 1929, Ford A 1928, Dodge Kingsway 1956, Fiat Topolino 1954 etc..) and 40 vintage bikes &a scooters (Fantabulus 1966, Triump 1948, BSA 1951, Matchless 1954, Ajs 1955, Aeriel 1956, Lambretta 1951 etc…) will be showcased during the event. The show will also comprise of various competitions and cultural events.
We are going the extra mile to ensure that the event is memorable and hope it will turn into an annual event in the Kerala Tourism calendar. We believe that you find this event enjoyable and your presence would not only be a tremendous honor for us but would also help us to raise a broader awareness for our cause.
