PANJIM:
FC Goa vice-captain Bruno Pinheiro is looked up as a role model to football enthusiasts across the state. He recently met up with the Forca Goa grassroots kids at the centre in Santa Cruz and spoke to the children about his journey as a footballer. He also emphasized the need to train hard, be disciplined and the importance on simultaneously working hard academically as well as on football as sport and education go hand in glove.
Education workshops are organized at each of the grassroots centres on a regular basis. The aim of the workshop is to stress on the importance of a good education along with the sport. The foundation also announced a special scholarship program wherein one student-athlete would be provided with a scholarship towards their education.
In addition to the education workshop, Forca Goa also organized an active citizen workshop where citizens were made aware of their rights and responsibilities towards the environment we live in and society at large. The Forca Goa foundation is committed to promoting the sport of football in the state at the grassroots level.
