PANJIM:
The FC Goa reserve squad will participate in the second division I-league which will kick off on 16th March 2018. The competition will feature 18 teams from across the country, split into three groups of 6 teams each with the top two teams in each group qualifying for the next round. The Gaurs will face off against the likes of Madhya Bharat SC, Ozone FA, Fateh Hyderabad AFC, Kerala Blasters FC reserves and FC Kerala in a home and away format.
They will begin their pursuit of the title against Madhya Bharat SC at the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim on Friday, 16th March 2018 before flying out to Bengaluru to face off against Ozone FA on 20th March 2018. The club will play its last three home games with a home game against Ozone FA on 9th May 2018 sandwiched by two away trips to Thrissur to face FC Kerala and Bhopal to face Madhya Bharat SC.
The reserve team will be coached by Derrick Pereira and he will be assisted by former Indian national winger, Clifford Miranda. Goan winger Liston Colaco will captain the team in the competition. The reserve squad currently competes in the Goa Pro League and lies third in the table.
