KOCHI:
DP World Cochin hosted the visit of Ambassador of India to UAE, Navdeep Suri. The visit was solely arranged for the official to observe the enhanced state-of- art infrastructure at the facility. The terminal has recently achieved another breakthrough by handling more than 2.5 million TEU since inception in February 2011.
Commenting on his visit Ambassador Suri said, “I am delighted to see such a significant investment by DP World into Kerala. A facility like this is absolutely critical for India’s export competitiveness and we are committed to doing everything possible to remove bottlenecks and encourage greater UAE investments into India. This is also in accordance with the spirit of our strategic partnership and the vision of Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.”
