  • Cycle Rally Organized for Seventh Edition of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Mumbai 2018

By NE Reporter on November 12, 2018

    MUMBAI:
The upcoming seventh edition of Bajaj Electricals Pinkathon Mumbai 2018 presented by Colors organised an event, the traditional wear Nauvari Cycle Rally today at Bandra West, Mumbai.

This special traditional wear Cycle Rally of 5 kms is organised for women to take up fitness regardless of their attire. Pinkathon believes that women can work out wearing whatever they are most comfortable in, be it a saree, salwar kameez, hijab or anything they like. Over 150 women joined this fun cycle rally all dressed up in traditional wear and their ethnic best.b

Commenting on such special initiatives especially the traditional wear cycle rally, Super model and Founder of Pinkathon Milind Soman said, “We want to change the mind-set of women. We want women to imbibe a fitness habit and workout in whatever they wear, be it sarees, salwar kameez or even the hijabs. Clothes should not become deterrent to women’s fitness. The idea is to inculcate the fitness habit in their comfort wear. One must not essentially wear shorts or tracks to workout. You can keep fit in whatever attire you are most comfortable wearing.”

The focus of India’s biggest women’s only running event is to encourage an active lifestyle and overall fitness amongst women while creating the much-needed awareness about breast cancer and encourage thousands of new or first-timer women to take up running.
