CISSA Seminar on Technological Updates on Lightning and Electrical Safety

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Thiruvananthapuram based Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), in association with the LBS Institute of Technology for Women will organise a seminar on Technological Updates on Lightning and Electrical Safety for Buildings on May 10 (Wednesday). The programme will coincide with the National Technology Day celebrations.
The seminar, which will get underway at the LBS Institute of Technology for Women, Poojappura, will be sponsored by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE). The programme will begin at 1 pm with the screening of a documentary on lightning protection. Dr R
Harikumar, Director, ANERT, will inaugurate the seminar, and Vijayakumar N P, Electrical Inspector, Office of the Chief Electrical Inspectorate, will deliver the keynote address.
While Dr S Murali Das, Former Scientist, CESS, Thiruvananthapuram, will talk on the Science of
Lightning Protection, Rajagopalachari, Consultant, Energy Management Centre, Kerala, will speak on Electrical Safety. Aswin, Director, New Destinators, will speak on the topic, Technology and Equipment for Lightning and Electrical Safety of Buildings.
