Carmel Jyothi School , Adimali has won the First Benny & Sheela Memorial Ever rolling Trophy and seventh edition of ‘Roses 2019’, (Rotary Olympics for special education students), athletic competition for special school students organized by Rotary International district that held at Sree Sankara college ground Kalady.
Rotary international District 3201 governor Rotarian Madhav Chandran inaugurated the event that aims uplifting of students who are facing mental and physical challenges. Dronacharya winner KP Thomas master and Rajas Thomas led the event that marked the presence of more than 1000 students from Alappuzha, Idukky, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Palakkad districts.
Besides championship trophy and certificates to the winners, prizes were distributed to all students who participated in the event. Sree Sankara College Principal Dr A Suresh,Adi Sankara Trust COO C.P Jayasankar, Rotary Dy.District Director Muvattupuzha Region Rotarian Joshy Chacho are distributed the awards. Roses Chairman Rotarian M Romelal, Secretary Bibu Punnuran, Rotary Cochin International Air Port City President Madan Mohan, Cochin Tricity President Rotarian Nimeesh John, Cochin West president Joydeep Mathai ware lead the function. The Roses organizing team also donated US Dollars 1000 to Rotary International in the name of Late Benny & Sheela endowment fund.
