  • Pregnancy is not a valid reason to skip classes, says Kerala Court

    Kochi: Kerala High Court has rejected the demand of a pregnant B Ed student to allow her to appear for the examinations in spite of a shortage in mandatory attendance.
    “Pregnancy was an optional choice and that cannot be a reason to permit a student to deviate from the requirements of a regular course of study,” the court said.

    New Delhi: FACT in Kerala is among the 32 public sector units recommended for closure or disinvestment by NITI Aayog, the national planning agency, as part of PSU reforms in the country.

    NITI Aayog has has prepared two lists of public sector companies. List 1 include sick PSUs which may be closed down and the List 2 includes units which should be privatsed.
