Atheos Institute of Skill Excellence ( AISE), part of Bangalore based Atheos Group is planning to open more skill development centres in Kerala. As part of this plan, company has signed aMOU with Manappuram Foundation to set up a campus in Thrissur District.
Discussions are on with other corporates who have shown interest in investing their CSR funds for setting up skill development centres. The company have submitted proposals with various departments of Gove
Company plans to get involved in Kerala government skill initiatives like KASE and ASAP in near future.
The company plans to start 24 centres across India by 2020, said Rajesh C P, Managing Director, Atheos Group.
AISE offers skill development programs related to Tourism & Hospitality industry and Media &
Entertainment Industry. The company has set up two separate campuses in Palakkad for offering these training programs.
The duration of the program ranges from 3 months to 18 months and fees ranges from Rs.20000 to Rs.75000. These industry specific programs are useful for youth who wish to have a quick start in hospitality or media industry.
Customised packages are available for those who are already under gone training and looking for placements. To ensure placements, the company has already signed MOU with leading players in both Hospitality and Media industry. Atheos Group has already trained and employed more than 5000 people in last 5 years.
The entire training program is aligned to National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) announced by Government of India which allows the participant to acquire additional skills during the course of time based on his work experience. This enables the participant to learn, earn and grow in his career path. AISE is affiliated training partner of Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council and Media & Entertainment Skill Council functioning under National Skill Development Corporation, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.
NSQF aligned training and certification enables the participant to seek job opportunities in India as well
as abroad, said Philip Thomas, Director – Operations, Atheos. Candidates undergoing training related to hospitality industry needs to complete one year internship under Atheos in its client location and the participant will be paid Rs.8500 as internship fee along with free accommodation, food, local travel conveyance and uniform.
The successful candidates will be absorbed by the company with industry standard salary packages.

Sheraton, The Leela, Holiday Inn, ITC hotels, The Lalit, The Gateway, Club Mahindra, Sterling Holiday etc. In facilities management side the clients are Toshiba, Mercedes Benz, Qualcomm, Huawei, CA technologies etc. The company ventured in to skill development space to address its own man power requirement and later formed Atheos Institute of Skill Excellence, a separate entity dedicating to skill development.
