Aster Medcity has appealed to the public to ignore a message being spread on social media platforms stating that the hospital will administer COVID-19 vaccine at homes. Hospital sources said that in their effort to achieve complete vaccination coverage in the district in the shortest time possible, it is looking at vaccinating various groups at their workplace or residential colonies. However, this would depend on clearance received from the state and district authorities and would be conducted in strict adherence to government guidelines. Aster Medcity management also stated that people can register for the vaccination on COWIN site or authorised Apps for scheduling vaccination sessions until the hospital has further clearance.
