Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau has recommended filing a case against K Babu, Excise minister in the former UDF Government in Kerala, for the irregularities in granting liquor bar licences.
V N Radhakrishnan, a leader of the Kerala bar hotel industries association had filed a complaint against K Babu, alleging that he misused his position and committed irregularities while granting bar licences to people of his choice.
Jacob Thomas, Director of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau will take a final decision on the recommendation to book Babu.
Jacob Thomas, an upright IPS officer, had crossed swords with the former UDF government led by Oommen Chandy.
