AirAsia India, a TATA venture and India’s low-cost carrier today announced its network expansion plans by adding four news routes from Mumbai, with Kochi being one of them. AirAsia India will now connect Mumbai and Kochi with 6x weekly flights.
All AirAsia India flights from Mumbai will operate from T2 (Terminal 2). The inauguration ceremony at Mumbai was graced by Banmali Agrawala, Chairman, AirAsia India. A traditional lamp lighting, ribbon cutting and cake cutting ceremony was held in the presence of Agrawala, Sunil Bhaskaran, CEO & MD, AirAsia India and Sanjay Kumar, COO, AirAsia India.
Speaking about the development, Sunil Bhaskaran, CEO and Managing Director, AirAsia India, said “AirAsia India is excited to launch the new route connecting Kochi and Mumbai. The new flight will give fliers from Kochi more convenience at great rates. Kochi is a key market for us and the new route aligns with our promise, ‘Now Everyone Can Fly.’
