Actress Attack Case: Dileep Demands CBI Probe

Actor Dileep had written to the Home Secretary to conduct a CBI probe in connection with the case of attacking an actress and sexual asault.
He said that false evidence were created by the police in connection with the case. DGP Loknath Behra and ADGP B Sandhya do have a role in trapping him, Dileep said.
The letter was written to Home Secretary on October 18. The 12 page letter elaborates on the incidents which happened after the attack on actress. A threatening call was made to Nadhir Shah on April 10 and this was made into the notice of DPG on that day itself.
The details of the blackmail phone calls were submitted to DGP and no action was taken to examine that. Dileep said that he do not know a person called Pulsar Suni. The evidence were fabricated to trap me, he said.
He also urged to remove the existing probe team who had fabricated evidence. Aluva Rural SP A V George, Crime Branch S P Sudarshan, DySP Sojan Varghese and Aluva C I Baiju Paulose who are investigating the case should be removed.
Dileep was granted bail after a remand of 85 days in Aluva sub jail. He was granted bail on the condition that his passport has to be surrounded at the magistrate court, Rs one lakh to be remitted as surety at court and two personal securities.
Earlier, the bail application moved by actor Dileep was not considered by the High Court as there was no changes in any circumstances regarding the case. Angamaly magistrate court also rejected the bail application of actor Dileep twice.
Granting bail, the High Court said that there was substantial change in the circumstances and could be given relief on stringent conditions. The court also said tha the accused should not try to influence the witnesses in the case.
Earlier, when Dileep approached High Court for bail, the Court said that that prima facie there is evidence against Dileep in the case sheet will be completed soon. It is observed that the accused could influence the witnesses if he was granted bail.
The anticipatory bail plea of actress Kavya Madhavan was not considered by the High Court as the police gave an undertaking that she will not be arrested. Pulsar Suni the first accused in the case of plotting abduction and sexual assault revealed that the ‘Madam’ who is connected with the case is Kavya Madhavan.
