KOCHI:
Turn the upcoming Global IT Summit, #Future, to be held in Kochi in March into a platform to imagine about the future and how Kerala can play a big role in the unfolding scenario, said Kris Gopalakrishnan, Ex-CEO and Co-Founder, Infosys.
Delivering the key-note address at a ramp up event held in Kochi on Wednesday, Gopalakrishnan noted that it was important to activate all the networks at the disposal to achieve the goals set out by the first ever Global IT summit.
“The digital summit is a platform for us to think about the future, imagine how the future would look like and how we can play a role in creating that future. If we set this platform, it will help us bring people to experience Kerala in its full potential,” Gopalakrishnan, Member, High Power IT Committee, said.
“I request you to leverage your network—Facebook, Whatsapp, Linkedin, Twitter and telephone– your business, your employers and encourage them to register and participate, he said, observing that leveraging networks is the key to create a platform for digital future,
“The more people participate the stronger will be the network and it’s exponential,” Gopalakrishnan, Member, High Power IT Committee, said.
Kerala’s first-ever global IT summit, #Future, will be held on March 22 and 23 at Le Meridien Hotel in Kochi, where over 30 speakers will share their expertise.
Speaking on the occasion, Joseph Korah, Chief Digital Technology Officer-EAS, Cognizant Technology Solutions, said that though Kerala had missed enterprise computing wave for the last 15 to 20 years, it now stands the chance to overcome all the hurdles with the immense talent, creativity and design experts that it can boast of.
“In the next 10 to 15 years with the application of some of our technologies, we would see so many disruptions that would be so much better for mankind as a whole. That’s what excites me,” he said.
Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, IT Parks, Kerala and Rajesh Nair, HPIC Member and Executive Director-Markets, Ernst and Young were also present.
Nandan Nilekani, Non-Executive Chairman, Infosys; Raghuram Rajan, former RBI Governor; Vijay Shekhar Sharma, founder Paytm and Gita Gopinath, Professor, Harvard University; are among the key speakers at the event.
#Future will be attended by 2,000 professionals, entrepreneurs, academicians, key influencers and other stakeholders from across the globe. Around 100 company heads and industry representatives attended the event.
