KOZHIKODE:
Out of the 30 companies from Kerala participating in the global technology exhibition GITEX, which will be held in Dubai next month, 21 are from Kozhikode. GITEX is an annual technology event attended by hundreds of IT companies from different countries.
This is the first international tech event where the companies have the opportunity to participate directly after a gap of one and a half years due to the emergence of Covid 19. In addition to the opportunity to present products and services, the companies also have the opportunity to discover new markets and partners during the GITEX. It is also a gateway to the international market for smaller IT companies in Kerala.
Most of these companies are from Govt-run Cyber Park, Kozhikode. In addition, 19 startups from Kerala are also participating in the event. Various companies have been participating in this fair under the leadership of Kerala IT for the last 20 years. John M Thomas, CEO of Kerala IT Parks will also be in Dubai to attend GITEX.
“Gitex is the most people-connected tech event in the region. It is an excellent opportunity for the tech companies in Kerala, primarily because of its geographical attributes and proximity to the Middle East. Gitex will be a perfect avenue for the Kerala startups seeking funds to scale or meet potential customers for their services and products,” said Vijith Sivadasan, a participant and Cofounder and Promoter of Codelattice.
