This is the era of digital ecosystem and it is also the future of India, says Ajith Balakrishnan, founder chairman and CEO of Rediff.com.
He was inaugurating the 5th K T Chandy Memorial Lecture organised by Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship and Kerala Management Association at XIME, Kinfra Hi-Tech Park, Kalamassery. He pointed out that during elections at US and Russsia digital technology and social media was widely used which is still to be exploited in our country.
If the digital service is used effectively, it will create more job opportunities in financial service sector. If the judicial system is digitalised, then the delay in settling the cases at courts will be minimised, he suggested.
“Digitalisation in judiciary was experimented in Mumbai and it was found to be successful. The possibility of using digital technology in health sector is under process” Ajith Balakrishnan said.
He pointed out that the ayurveda sector is already using digital technology. This technology should be used for ensuring that that cost of treatment will come down which is yet to be utilised.
He urged the management and IT students to take the initiative to use this technology for the benefit of the society. More ideas and projects should be developed by the students, he added.
